Welcome to Japanese Sashimi Bar AJIMI.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, reservation system, and dining services provided by Taste of Japan LTD trading as Japanese Sashimi Bar AJIMI (“AJIMI”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By accessing our website, making a reservation, or dining with us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Reservations
Reservations may be made through our online booking system, Google Maps, or directly with the restaurant where applicable.
Reservations are subject to availability and are not confirmed until confirmation has been issued by our booking system or staff.
AJIMI reserves the right to modify, decline, or cancel reservations where necessary for operational, safety, or service reasons.
3. Group Bookings
Reservations for six (6) or more guests must be arranged directly with the restaurant by phone or email.
Online bookings may be unavailable or restricted for larger groups.
For private dining, corporate functions, exclusive venue hire, or special events, additional booking conditions may apply.
4. Cancellations and No-Shows
We kindly ask customers to provide as much notice as possible when cancelling a reservation.
Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in future booking restrictions.
AJIMI reserves the right to introduce deposits, minimum spend requirements, or cancellation fees for selected events, functions, peak trading periods, or large group bookings in the future.
Where applicable, these conditions will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
5. Seating and Service
We aim to accommodate all reservations as efficiently as possible.
During busy periods, seating times may be limited to ensure fair access for all guests.
Specific seating requests will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.
6. Ordering and Payment
Payment is required at the conclusion of your dining experience unless otherwise arranged.
AJIMI accepts approved electronic payment methods and may refuse payment methods at its discretion.
Menu items, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice.
7. Public Holiday Surcharge
A 15% surcharge may apply on New Zealand public holidays.
This surcharge assists in covering additional staffing and operational costs associated with public holiday trading.
8. Alcohol Service
AJIMI operates under a valid On-Licence and complies with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
Customers may be required to provide valid identification when purchasing alcohol.
AJIMI reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to intoxicated persons, minors, or any person where required by law.
Management decisions regarding alcohol service are final.
9. BYO Policy
BYO is not generally available.
BYO may only be permitted for approved private functions or special events at management discretion.
Any approved BYO arrangements may be subject to corkage fees and additional conditions.
10. Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements
AJIMI serves sashimi, raw seafood and other uncooked products.
While we take reasonable care in food preparation, customers with allergies, dietary requirements, or specific health concerns should notify our team before ordering.
Although every effort is made to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
11. Functions and Special Events
Private functions, corporate events, exclusive venue bookings, and special dining events may be subject to separate terms, minimum spend requirements, deposits, cancellation policies, and service conditions.
These terms will be communicated separately where applicable.
12. Promotions and Gift Vouchers
Promotional offers, vouchers, campaigns, competitions, and gift cards are subject to their own specific terms and conditions.
AJIMI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel promotions where necessary.
Fraudulent or unauthorised use may result in cancellation without compensation.
13. Website Use
All content on this website, including text, images, branding, logos, menus,
and marketing materials, remains the property of AJIMI unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use website content without prior written permission.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AJIMI shall not be liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential loss arising from website use, reservation issues,
service interruptions, customer actions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights available under New Zealand consumer protection legislation.
15. Privacy
Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information regarding the collection and use of personal information.
16. Changes to These Terms
AJIMI may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
